May 5th 2024

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him,

“Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation."

Luke 11:1-4

The service will begin at 10:00am

Thy Kingdom Come.

This year, Thameshead Benefice is marking the time between the celebration of Jesus’ Ascension into heaven (9th May) and the Birthday of the Church with the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (19th May) with a series of events focused on prayer. We will be praying for our communities and for the future of our Benefice as we begin the process of seeking our next Priest. The events are for anyone to join in, and we’ve tried to make sure that the whole Benefice is included, especially churches that are used less often. See Notice Boards for details.
