"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord,
you must continue to follow him.
Let your roots grow down into him,
and let your lives be built on him.
Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught,
and you will overflow with thankfulnessl"
Many of us have been in a church building at some time in our lives, perhaps to celebrate the wedding of friends, to attend a baptism (christening) or maybe a funeral. We may have attended as a child with parents, look forward to meeting with our regular church family every week or have no experience of church at all. We all have different impressions about what going to church means and different hopes, fears or expectations when we go.
The real church is the people who meet in the building, for being God's family is all about relationships.
Church is where we can ask important questions about life. It's about meeting with other people asking similar questions, but above all it's about the gift of God in Jesus and sharing in His story together.
In the Thameshead Benefice we have many churches and many different styles of worship but we all share in one truth in one God whom we know most perfectly in Jesus..
We look forward to welcoming you and joining with you on your journey with God.
