It is being led by David Cook a retired vicar who lives in Bourton on th Water

He is well known as a Bible teacher.

He has been the vicar in Newbury, Cape Town and Chipping Campden.

The title of the 5 talks will be Travelling with Jesus through Lent

They asked each other "Were not our hearts burning within while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

( Luke 24: 32 ).

Cleopas and his friend speak for all of us when Jesus walks alongside us and reveals new and life-changing truths. This Lent we shall explore 5 such truths which Luke in his Gospel particularly emphasises.

"As my friend and I walked along like Cleopas and his friend, we recalled as they did the events of the Crucifixion and its aftermath in the light of our utterly different and yet similar world. Nor was it a fancy that we too were joined by a third presence. And I tell you that wherever the walk and whoever the wayfarers, there is always this third presence ready to emerge from the shadows and walk in step along the dusty stony way."  Malcolm Muggeridge.

The evenings start from 7pm with refreshment available  and the evening itself will start at 7.30 pm.

There will be an opportunity for questions after David finishes. The evening will finish by 9pm.
