"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,

I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was ill and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Matthew 25:35,36

Mark's gospel starts "the beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ."

We believe that Jesus is good news. We believe that creation itself comes out of God's love and that he cares about not just the great big issues of creation but about every aspect of our individual lives.

We are called to lives that reflect that of Jesus and the truth we know about God, this should impact every aspect of our lives. Ethics is about moral principles that govern behaviour, politics is about what that looks like in society. God is Justice just as he is Love and the Bible is full of witness to this truth.

Mission is about seeking to make the good news about God a reality in others lives as well as our own, this is why so often Christians have been at the forefront of social justice highlighting our interdependence and the need to love and support each other, for Jesus said when you do it (good or bad) to one of these you do it to me.

Outreach is about sharing good news, why keep it to yourself? It isn't going to run out, in fact the more you share it the more there is, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life." (Jn 14).
